Tukad Cepung Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall located in Banjar Penida Kelod Village, Tembuku District, Bangli Regency, Bali. Situated within a cave or canyon surrounded by rocky cliffs, visitors must navigate a descending path with steps and along the riverbank to reach the waterfall. The main waterfall is approximately 15 meters high, with a moderate flow and a water depth of only about 30 cm, making it safe for swimming.
Tukad Cepung’s unique feature is its water flowing from the cave opening, creating a highly photogenic curtain of water. After arriving at the parking area, visitors need to trek for about 15-20 minutes to reach the waterfall, along a path that offers a unique adventure experience and calming natural scenery.
Entrance to Tukad Cepung Waterfall is usually around IDR 30,000 per person, and it is open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wita. Besides being a natural tourist destination, Tukad Cepung also holds spiritual significance for the Balinese people. This place was once considered sacred and was often used for spiritual cleansing rituals called melukat in Balinese Hindu tradition.
As a destination, Tukad Cepung is very popular for photography, as the view of the waterfall within the cave, with sunlight filtering through the cliffs, is a major draw for visitors who want to enjoy the natural beauty and the mystical and cool atmosphere of this location.
