Bali Waterfall Tours

Bali Waterfall Tour is a travel package designed to take tourists to visit various beautiful waterfalls scattered across the island of Bali, especially in the area around Ubud. This tour package is usually designed to visit waterfalls and combined with visits to interesting tourist attractions in the surrounding area.

Popular Bali Waterfall Tours

Some of the waterfalls near Ubud that are often visited are:

Kanto Lampo Waterfall

Kanto Lampo Waterfall is a multi-tiered waterfall located in Beng Village, Gianyar District, Gianyar Regency, Bali. The waterfall is approximately 15 metres high and is famous for its unique stepped rock contours, resembling natural stairs, so that the water flow looks like a beautiful and Instagrammable water curtain.

The main attraction is the tiered structure of the waterfall and its stepped rock formations, allowing visitors to climb the rocks while being sprayed by the falling water. There is also a natural pool with clear water at the base of the waterfall, perfect for swimming and playing in the water.

In addition to being a tourist destination, Kanto Lampo Waterfall holds spiritual and cultural significance for the local community. The site is considered sacred and is often used in traditional Balinese Hindu ceremonies to collect holy water, known as the Mendak Toya Ning ritual (seeking holy water).

Tukad Cepung Waterfall

Tukad Cepung Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall located in Banjar Penida Kelod Village, Tembuku District, Bangli Regency, Bali. The waterfall is situated within a cave or canyon surrounded by rocky cliffs, so visitors must traverse a descending path with steps and follow the riverbank to reach the location. The main waterfall stands approximately 15 metres tall with a moderate water flow, and the water depth below is only around 30 centimetres, making it safe for swimming.

The main uniqueness of Tukad Cepung is its water flowing from a cave opening, creating a stunningly photogenic water curtain. On sunny days, sunlight streaming through the opening in the cliff forms beautiful light patterns, often casting mesmerising rainbow reflections on the waterfall’s spray, especially between 9:00 Am and 1:00 Pm Wita.

In addition to being a natural tourist destination, Tukad Cepung also has spiritual value for the Balinese people. This place was once considered sacred and was often used for spiritual cleansing rituals called melukat in Balinese Hindu tradition.

Tegenungan Waterfall

Tegenungan Waterfallis a waterfall located in Kemenuh Village, Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency, Bali, approximately 30 km from Denpasar City and about 30 minutes’ drive from the Ubud art tourism centre. The waterfall stands at approximately 15 metres in height, with a strong and clear water flow originating from the Tukad Petanu River.

The attraction of this waterfall lies in its pristine natural scenery, surrounded by green trees and rainforest, with a cool atmosphere and fresh air. The rocks around the waterfall create a spectacular flow of water, and the roaring sound adds to the peaceful natural ambiance. The natural pools around the waterfall can be used for swimming and soaking.

Visitors can bathe, swim, or simply enjoy the scenery and take photos. There are several steps to descend to the waterfall area, so stamina is required, especially when climbing back up.

Leke-leke Waterfall

Leke-Leke Waterfall is a waterfall located in Banjar Kerobokan, Mekarsari Village, Baturiti Subdistrict, Tabanan Regency, Bali. This waterfall is nestled in the midst of a lush and tranquil forest, with a shaded atmosphere and cool air, making it ideal for relaxation and enjoying the beauty of nature. The waterfall stands approximately 30 metres tall with a strong yet not overly powerful water flow.

To reach the waterfall, visitors must trek along a winding dirt path for about 15–20 minutes from the entrance after purchasing tickets. Along the trail, visitors will pass through lush green landscapes of rice fields, plantations, and forests, as well as a small bamboo bridge to cross the river. The trail is slightly uphill and quite slippery during the rainy season, so it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.

These are some of the most popular waterfalls to visit when holidaying in Bali. Of course, there are many more spectacular waterfalls in Bali.

If you are interested in visiting the waterfalls above, you can join one of our tour packages.
