Things To Do In Tegalalang – Tegalalang is a sub-district in Gianyar Regency, Bali. The sub-district is divided into 6 villages namely: Tegalalang Village, Pakudui Village, Ceking Village, Buahan Village, Sebatu Village and Luwus Village. Tegalalang is famous for its stunning rice terraces, and is one of the most popular destinations in Bali. The famous rice terraces are located in Ceking village, about 10 kilometres north of Ubud.
One of the distinctive features of Tegalalang is the stunning view of the rice terraces. These rice fields were traditionally created by the local community to optimise land use in the steep mountain topography. After you have explored Ubud, it is better to stop at Ceking rice terraces to see the stunning natural beauty.
To get to Ceking rice terraces, of course, you have to pass through Ubud because it is located in the north, if you drive from Kuta. The journey to Ceking rice terraces can be taken around 1 hour and 45 minutes drive from Kuta.
